The REAL Good News
Today, the world is exposed to more negative news in one week than our ancient forefathers heard in a lifetime. Crimes of hatred and passion; senseless killings; natural disasters of epic proportions; the spread of previously unknown diseases; extremes of selfish wealth and neglected poverty; ruthless political mud slinging; infidelity and immorality flaunted — it is a wonder that the world has any hope at all.
It is time for us all to refresh our minds as to the promises of God’s Word for the better day about to dawn — that which has been “spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets since the world began” — “the restitution of ALL things” and the recovery of life to ALL once lost by father Adam. (Acts 3:19-22) This is the REAL Good News!
Imagine the Incredible Headlines of the Future!
“The wolf is dwelling with the lamb, the leopard with the kid, and the calf with the young lion — all are dwelling together in peace and a little child is leading them!” This prophetic headline based on Isaiah 11:6 may sound too good to be true, but if we believe that the Bible is God’s indisputable truth, we can trust that this will be a reality in due time. God Himself promised every one of His prophecies! “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void...” — Isaiah 55:11
Yes, the promise of Isaiah 11:6 is not just a lovely poetic picture — it is a promise given by God which will become a reality in His Kingdom to come when His will shall be done in earth even as it is done in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) A review of God’s promises is sure to bring hope of this better day when “The whole earth is at rest...” (Isaiah 14:7)
